Do I get paid to staff at an ABN event?
Staffing at ABN events is a volunteer position for which you will not receive payment. However, you will be able to attend the event you staff free of charge in exchange for your time and energy.
What is required of me, time-wise?
Most ABN events are on Wednesday evenings and run for approximately 3 hours from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Generally, you will be asked to be at the venue 1-2 hours prior to the commencement of the program to help set up, and to stay 90mins after the completion of the program to help pack-up. Full details of the event and your required time commitment will be included in the invitation you receive inviting you to staff at a particular event.
What will I be doing?
What you will be doing will depend on what we know about you and whether you have experience in staffing at other ABN or similar events.

Every member of the team plays an important and valued role, so whether you are staffing our registration desk, providing information, selling books/tapes or distributing handouts, you can be sure that you are making a meaningful contribution to the event's success.

To ensure clear communication and ease of operation, our teams are structured and always have a team leader, known as the Logistics Supervisor (LS). At larger events we may divide our team into sub-teams, each with its own team leader.

To help us determine which role or event would be best for you please tell us about any relevant skills or experience and what you would like to get out of being on staff.

An invitation will be emailed to you at least two weeks before an event providing full details of the event, start and finish times and the venue.
