Miriam Cabello MLC Powerhouse Design Studio

Miriam Cabello launched MLC Powerhouse Design Studio in 1993 at the Casual Powerhouse Arts Centre. Now based in Ultimo, Sydney. MLC Gallery opened in June 2004; it is the result of a ten- year program developed by the award winning team at MLC Powerhouse Design Studio.

With 14 years of experience in the arts, Miriam oversees the gallery's operations, incorporating management, marketing and business development. An artist herself, Miriam promotes an open work environment, which encourages and fosters creativity. Miriam was nominated by the International Committee to participate in the Fifth Annual International Biennial of Contemporary Art, held in the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy, Dec 2005. Her fourth solo show was held at MLC Gallery, 8 - 20 August 2005.

Apart from painting, Miriam also has a passion for adrenaline and nominates canyon abseiling in Switzerland as one of her most exhilarating experiences!
