In July 2006 Mel Kettle established Mel Kettle Consulting, a boutique marketing communications consultancy.

Before taking the leap into self-employment, Mel worked for 12 years as a marketing manager, communication manager, and an event and conference manager for a range of corporate, government and non-profit organisations. These included the Brisbane Festival, Carlson Marketing Group, Queensland Treasury and the Office of Fair Trading.

Mel Kettle Consulting provides marketing communication services including public relations, event management, corporate communications and change management for corporate and government clients. Mel has a Bachelor of Arts (Tourism) from the University of Canberra and a Master of Business (Marketing) from QUT.

Mel is a member of the Australian Institute of Management, Networx Marketing and BNI Australia. When not working, Mel enjoys spending time with her partner Shaun, and doing lots of food related things including shopping, cooking, and trying new foods.
