Profile:
At 37, Katrina Allen has a resume and roll call of achievements and awards that would signal a successful life for a woman twice her age. Consider: two books, finalist in the Cleo Business Woman of the Year Award 1999, five national and international awards for art direction in the advertising industry and induction into the Australian Business Woman's Hall of Fame in 2000. In March 1999, she launched De jour tampons and within 18 months the brand had captured seven percent of the market in the majority of leading supermarket chains nationwide.
In December 1999, Katrina initiated the "No to GST" on sanitary products campaign and attracted front-page coverage and TV and radio exposure nationally. Katrina is a long-time supporter of the Australian Businesswomen's Network.
