Des Walsh is a business coach, social media strategist, author, blogger and international speaker. His mission as a coach is to encourage and support business owners, entrepreneurs and freelance professionals who are ready to take their business or career to the next level. He specialises in helping people get clarity about their purpose and helping them play effectively the "inner game" that separates champions from the rest. His commitment is to do that with patience, persistence and good humour.

Des also loves de-mystifying social media and showing clients how to use LinkedIn, Twitter, blogging, Facebook, YouTube and other social tools to build their brand and grow their business or career.

Formerly a senior public servant in the Australian and New South Wales Governments, Des has been in business for 20 plus years. He was previously a senior public servant in the Australian and New South Wales Governments, working mainly in the fields of education, the arts and cultural development and major events planning.

Des is co-author of LinkedIn for Recruiting and founding moderator of the LinkedIn Bloggers group. He blogs at his Des Walsh dot Com and Thinking Home Business sites.

Des is Chairman of the Social Media Club Gold Coast and a member of the Advisory Group for Social Media Club Global. He is also Sales Manager for the South Pacific for social media release platform PitchEngine. He is based on the southern Gold Coast with his life and business partner, Suzie Cheel.
