Profile:
Denise Leith has a Ph.D. in international relations. From an initial background in stockbroking she has taught Middle East politics, Australian politics and international relations at university with special interests in US foreign policy and the Middle East.
Her first book, The Politics of Power: Freeport in Suharto’s Indonesia, was released by University of Hawaii Press in 2002. Denise’s second book, Bearing Witness: The Lives of War Correspondents and Photojournalists, was release by Random House last year. She is currently writing full time, is an Honorary Associate of Macquarie University and Honorary Secretary of International PEN, Sydney Centre.
