After the birth of her third daughter (who is now her “heir apparent”), Dena Blackman encountered a rare (for her) health hazard! Far from family support, she vividly remembers saying “If only I could dial an angel!” This phrase kept repeating itself and would not let her rest until she established her business in 1967, Dial An Angel, which is now a national entity.

Dena granted the first franchise in 1985 and for her, the decision was not a planned one!
