After having her first child, Cindy returned to the workforce with the launch of her new beauty business Luk soulbeauty in November 2007. With immediate plans to sell her new lip nourishment balms internationally she is once again exploring the 'ins and outs' of export. As founder of Luken and May biscuits, she 'sold coals to Newcastle' by gaining distribution in Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Sainsbury and Tesco in one week of 'knocking on doors' and then had to 'deliver' on her promise.

Cindy has a food science and nutrition background, sat on various advisory committees including the National Food Industry Council and Small Business Advisory panel to the Reserve Bank Board. Her foresight to combine her love of food with science and business was rewarded with an Honorary Master of Science from the University of Newcastle and over 20 export, entrepreneur and business awards including the Australian Business "Success thru Innovation" prize and 19th & 20th spot in BRW's Fast 100.
