Profile:
Catherine Wall is General Manager at Floriana Pty Ltd. Floriana is one of Australia’s largest producers of seedlings and flowering pot plants for home garden use. Floriana is a family owned and managed business.
A background in music and performing arts is not exactly the normal route to a career in horticulture. Then again, Catherine is not one for taking the normal route! Having graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts, Catherine then spent several years as a musician before joining the family business. In a relatively short period of time she developed the very successful Floriana brand from scratch, despite having little previous experience in sales or marketing. Catherine’s success to date is a testimony to the notion that a deficiency of experience can often be countered by a surfeit of passion.
