In partnership with friend, Brett Blundy (founder of Brazin and Sanity), Pierce bought the iconic organic store Macro Bondi Junction in April 2004. As with his inspiration for CODY, Pierce saw the potential for the business to become national, to make organic food accessible; both in its benefits and the products.

Pierce, as executive Chairman has grown Macro Wholefoods Market from one store to five with the eventual plan being for 40 Macro stores throughout Australia. Pierce, through his true belief in the goodness of organic foods, works with industry bodies such as the Biological Farmer's Association and Organic Expo. His passion is promoting the development of the organics industry to benefit farmer's, manufacturers, distributors and all Australians.

As well as being an organics campaigner and retailer, Pierce holds the position of Trustee at the Art Gallery of NSW. Pierce was also a founding director of Tower Estate which owns vineyards and restaurants in NSW's Hunter Valley region.
