Profile:
In 1992 Michael Paul was an enthusiastic 31 year old. He had gathered experience as Materials Manager (and related roles) with Arnotts, Esselte-Dymo and Proctor & Gamble. He began his own freight consultancy business operating from offices in Wetherill Park Sydney.
His consultancy business was located next door to the Head Office for Kennards Self Storage, operated by Neville Kennard and his son Sam. During a research trip that Sam made to the United States he came across a concept gathering huge momentum - retail parcel sending centres.
Michael, excited by the possibilities of this new concept travelled to the United States himself. After spending several months working in and researching a variety of these businesses, he returned to Australia.
In August 1993 the first PACK & SEND store opened its doors. PACK & SEND prides itself on its no limits policy, and the brand is synonymous with getting the job done at all costs. There are now 80 PACK & SEND stores nationwide which specialise in taking on the jobs which no one else will.
Since that time, PACK & SEND has developed a powerful retail business system that is unique in the world.
