Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Australian Businesswomen's Network?
The Australian Businesswomen's Network (ABN) is a national community of business women. Our focus is to inspire and meet the needs of business women, empowering them to achieve their goals and be successful. This is achieved through the provision of business education, mentoring, networking, advocacy and access to role models, information and resources.
How many Businesswomen are part of the ABN?
Nearly 20,000 women business-owners benefit from being part of this ABN community all across Australia. Community members attend events, subscribe to our publications, visit our websites and interact on our social networks for the latest information and inspiration. While we provide lots of value for free to our wider community the features and benefits of membership are rewards for those who are paid members of the network. Membership dues allow us to exist and provide great products and services.
How does membership work?
Membership is on a monthly basis with no minimum term,* or you can pay annually. Our online events and training programs are available to members to view at your leisure, or at pre-scheduled times. You can capitalise on member benefits without leaving your desk. There is no need to commute or take time away from other priorities. You can utilise world-class business education and information and connect with other members in your own time, on your own terms.
The ABN uses the latest technology to foster business relationships in the most convenient manner possible. In fact, we've been running national virtual events for many years - connecting women across cities and regional and rural areas). We give members access to resources, education and inspiration - whenever they like and wherever they may be.
*CommunityPlus membership is only available annually.
What do I get for my Membership?
We continue to develop our products and services with the help of our community. For example, our herViews member focus groups have resulted in great new features for the monthly webinars, the Australian Businesswomen's Directory, member face-to-face events, peer support groups and our advocacy program, which helps voice your business issues with government. Member feedback helps shape the content and structure of our continuing education programs.
There are four types of membership, each with its own list of benefits.
View each page for a full listing of benefits you receive with each level of membership.

"From 1996, the ABN supported me with information and support to grow my business (Gifted), before I sold it to wishlist.com.au in 2000. After launching my new coaching and presenting business in 2002, I felt drawn again to the ABN.
Within one month of resuming my membership my presence on the ABN website led to an interstate speaking engagement, which paid for my yearly membership ten-fold. Thank you ABN."
