About Rachel
A visionary leader who believes in "encouraging the heart", Rachel is currently the CEO of Toga Hospitality. Rachel joined Toga Hospitality in 1998 as Group Sales Manager and became Director of Sales and Marketing in 1999. She took on the challenge of Group General Manager in early 2002, Chief Operating Officer in 2005 and Chief Executive Officer in 2007.
Her formal qualifications include a BA (Honours) (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and an MBA specialising in Service Industries Management.
Rachel has a passion for creating a results-oriented, responsive and market-driven culture within companies; and a driving belief that the success of businesses depends on the quality of the people they employ. With a proven track record of increasing sales, global market share and profitability, Rachel is focused on the accelerated growth of the Toga Hospitality Group, and its brands, Travelodge, Medina, Vibe Hotels, and Adina Apartment Hotels in Europe.
In December 2008, Rachel won the Telstra Business Woman’s National, 2008 Hudson Private and Corporate Sector Award, after being namedin November 2008, as the NSW 2008 Telstra Business Woman of the Year and the NSW 2008 Hudson Private and Corporate Sector Award winner.
