Anne-Marie Sparrow is Managing Director and owner of Sydney based public relations agency Cube. Anne-Marie set up the business 6 years ago after nearly two decades working within large multinational public relations agencies in both Australia and the UK. Cube now employs 11 staff and works with a large range of clients - with a focus on health, nutrition and wellbeing. Clients include multinational companies, research organisations and not-for-profits.
Anne-Marie 'fell' into public relations unexpectedly in the late 80s after graduating with a science degree in the UK. The industry was at an early stage of development - public relations was viewed as an 'unusual' career. The combination of writing, education, media relations and client management however, quickly became a passion for Anne-Marie and resulted in 17 years working within major public relations brands including Biss Lancaster, Rowland and Burson-Marsteller.
Most recently, after 12 years within the Burson-Marsteller network running a large practice spanning Australia and Asia Pacific - Anne-Marie made the decision to set-up her own offering. Cube was established with the offer of senior expertise, knowledge and strategic capabilities - in a market where quality execution and delivery is often lacking. The new business quickly gained a reputation within Australia - and is now viewed as a major independent player within the industry. Plans are to extend Cube's capabilities over the next 3-5 years and offer additional areas of expertise including general consumer/marketing support and government relations. Geographical expansion into Asia is also a future goal.
