Powerful Strategies for Leading Staff, Customers and Communities

Becoming a better leader has (and continues to be) a personal-development process. As you come face-to-face with what you know and what you don't know, what works and what doesn't you're called on to be bigger and better.
Leadership is one of my favourite subjects, and improving MY leadership skills is an ongoing pursuit.
When I first started my business I had no management experience, in fact I'd never held down a senior role in a business. I was 26.
The day I hired my first person, ran my first workshop (with volunteer teams)... I had to learn how to be a leader, quick-smart.
I wasn't great at it to start with... I didn't leverage very well, and did more than I delegated. (I suffered from the 'nobody can do it better' and 'it's just easier if I do it myself' syndromes that I see many business owners suffer from.

I love the challenge that leadership presents.
Over time (and with a sheer determination to master the skills I need to lead teams, projects, communities) I learned the skills that have allowed me to lead communities and teams of 2 to 200... both in Australia and overseas.
But, I'm always on the lookout for good teachers and examples in this area.
This issue of the newsletter has some great resources. So, please enjoy them.
