Poll shows ABN Community Members work above average hours
Latest News
A recent US survey showed that business owners work an average of 59 hours per week. We asked the Australian Businesswomen's Network (ABN) the same question and here are the results.
The results show 82% of those who responded work more than the 'normal' 40 hours a week. The poll did not ask if people wished to work less, or the reasons they worked these hours.
We do realise though that business ownership is a 24/7 job and that business ownership has different time demands than employment. Members of the ABN community are often accessing the resources we provide (podcasts, webinar recordings, articles, newsletters) at hours outside of the 9-5 day. And, that access to resources on their schedule, is one of the main reasons people join this online community.
We'll look further into the consequences and thoughts and opinions of this community in future polls.
