Inspiring Australian
Tracy Woolley, Inspire Your Day Australia
Tracy Woolley turned her life around from working in administrative roles as a sole parent with five children to support, to running her own business doing what she loves - photography. Tracy Woolley is now recognised nationally and internationally as an award winning landscape photographer and as the founder of 'Inspire Your Day Australia'.
Tracy honoured both of these titles when she was announced as a winner in the 2008 International Photography Awards USA, inspiring many. Her winning piece "Into the Sea, Mooloolaba" won the nature category of the competition, making Tracy one of only three Australian professional photographers to have won a first place; and the first female Australian photographer to have done so.

Business with a Sweet Tooth!
Cathy Cousins, Sweet Little ThingsEight months ago Cathy Cousins launched her on-line company 'Sweet Little Things'. Selling gourmet cupcake hampers to satisfy that sweet tooth, the company's range of unique offerings is ever-growing. Each hamper is custom made with delectable cupcakes, brightly coloured tissue and finished off with luxurious ribbon and swing tag; a perfect gift for clients, to take to a meeting or just to surprise a friend. You can make your hamper extra special by adding candles, cards, handmade jewellery and gorgeous baby clothes - or order a cupcake tower for that special event.
Cathy's love for distinctive design has taken her to launching a fabric line and via her blog-based website you can keep abreast of the Sweet Little Things journey. Thanks to quirky icing designs, exquisite packaging and great service, the company has been an immediate hit, with Cathy being featured in a Cosmopolitan article, 'webtrepreneur' in the October 2008 issue. Cathy's Networking Tip: If you can keep your nerves at bay and allow yourself to show your personality, I think this is the best way to network. People are more likely to remember a person and experience than a business card being thrust into their hand.
My favourite networking experiences have been when I have attended something on my own and walked up to others for a casual chat. It is this relaxed, natural kind of conversation that usually produces the best connections. While going with a friend or colleague keeps nerves at bay initially, it can often mean you don't network as effectively.
