Karen started her own business in October 1995 at the age of 28, after the birth of her second child. She recalls, "It became apparent to me that employers found my status as Mum to be an unattractive qualification on my resume."

So, fueled by a desire to change that perception and wanting to create a life that was focused on her child first the vision was to create a business staffed by and supporting working mums.

Money Pennys provide a range of services from basic bookkeeping to systems recommendation/implementation and training. The Money Pennys Group are a unique boutique MYOB Certified bookkeeping Firm, based in Hurstville in Sydney's South.

Karen has been a mentor on a number of other mentoring programs. She judges applicants for the Telstra Business Awards - a role she relishes since being invited in 2002. Karen has also played a role on the ABN Advisory Board and is our newest Ambassador.
