Company Structure
Since 1989, the Australian Businesswomen's Network has provided networking, business education and access to mentors to women in business across Australia. Started in Melbourne, today this national organisation has members in all the corners of rural, country and urban Australia. Originally an association-style organisation with local chapters, today the ABN is a national online organisation that gives women all over the country access to education, inspiration and networking, often without them having to leave home.
The ABN' s long-term vision is to create an Australian business ethos where membership to this professional businesswomen's organisation is an assumed credit.
Board, Advisors and Committees
Our greatest strength comes from the involvement of our members and their voluntary participation in our committees and Advisory Board. Committees are created to champion specific projects and to spearhead new member initiatives.
The ABN and the Australian Businesswomen's Community
The ABN is recognised by industry, government and business as the leading businesswomen's organisation. The ABN regularly receives support and endorsement from both local and federal government and the corporate sector for its initiatives to support women in business.
We will continue to advance Australian businesswomen by facilitating positive, inspirational and educational events delivered professionally, efficiently and representing a valuable return on investment.

Community Director
Suzi Dafnis is the Community Director and Chairperson of the Advisory Board. Suzi has been involved with the network since 1995. In 1998 she took over the network from its founder and has since managed and grown the network. She remains it's media spokesperson and a champion of women in business. She is also the editor of the ABN's newsletters and author of the ABN's blog.
Team
Our team (and head office) is located in Rosebery, New South Wales. Our small team of full-time staff coordinates events, newsletters, marketing, speakers and manage member needs - providing support to our national community of members.
Our team includes both those employed by the ABN and also interns (from both Australia and overseas) who join us in order to learn about business. Usually our interns are young women studying business. We value their participation and welcome enquiries about internships all year around.
