Liz Parker and Douglas, a New Zealand Huntaway Cross

12 October 2012 | Liz Parker | No Comments

Liz Parker is the CEO of VA Placements, a home-based business that has been operating for six years. In that time Liz has helped over 700 virtual assistants across Australia to set up and operate a successful virtual assistant business. The company provides training and mentoring, technical support and resources.

Through VA Placements and VA Search programs clients are introduced to virtual assistants who are bound by a code of conduct that is monitored by a professional standards panel. VA Placements is the largest network of virtual assistants in Australia and pride themselves in offering a personal one-to-one service.

Meet Douglas...

Woof! Hi, I'm Douglas. I was homeless and abandoned before Liz picked me up from Pet Rescue six months ago. I was just a pup then and very underweight. Now I'm a big boy - I am 7 months old, much healthier and I couldn't be happier!

I love watching my best friend work while I sit on my own office chair. Liz often holds webinars with video and I feel like a star as the VAs see me sitting behind her. While I like to think of myself as "Mr Cool", I am known around the network as Liz's supervisor.

Besides watching out for Liz, I also make sure she takes much-needed breaks during the day. We often go for a run around and play outside. The exercise not only helps Liz clear her mind but I know it is a good way to help control her diabetes.

I love having fun and know how lucky I am to be saved as a puppy. If I could give just one piece of business advice it would be "Never get so busy making a living, that you forget to make a life!"
