Program Outline

Annalisa Holmes - MentorNet Program

The MentorNet program is a six month journey of comprehensive business training, mentoring, networking and support, during which you'll:

  • discover new ways to market products and services
  • solidify your vision, mission and goals
  • develop a business plan, operations plan and financial plan
  • establish a budget for profitability
  • define a growth plan for the next 12 months
  • determine your ideal customer and how to cater to them
  • explore how to manage virtual staff and employees and leadership

Each module is run over a month and includes two webinars with business experts and two mentoring sessions. The modules are outlined below. You'll find the dates and details here.

Four Key Stages Before You Start Your Journey

1. Complete Your Application Form

Once you decide that the program is for you, apply to be a mentor or mentoree. Applications for the 2013 program open late 2012. Request an application here.

2. Are you ready?

Not sure if you're ready? Book in for a free 30-minute consultation to determine if you are mentor ready.

3. Approval and Matching

Once your application is approved you'll be required to:

  • Pay a deposit or pay in full (for best savings)
  • Complete your Mentor Matching questionnaire (these extra details will ensure we match you well with your mentor!)

 
4. Starter Kit and Meet Your Mentor

You'll be sent a starter kit, as well as details of your BRIEFING SESSION and the MEET YOUR MENTOR webinar session.

Then, we are ready to go!


 

Module 1 - Business Planning

This module positions the overall business planning process in relation to the development of the business.

During this module participants will:
  • Write a Vision Statement
  • Complete a Market Analysis
  • Determine your strategic direction - based on a Gap Analysis, and
  • Develop Customer Profiles

 

Module 2 - Finances

This module will review some of the critical aspects that underpin the financial management aspect of the business plan.

During this module participants will:
  • Review the key elements of financial planning
  • Formulate or review your budget
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability

 

Module 3 - Marketing

This module will review some of the critical aspects of marketing for the business.

In this module participants will:
  • Identify the target market for the business
  • Develop strategies for direct, offline and online marketing
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan

 

Module 4 - Human Resources

This module will address some of the key strategies for recruiting and developing staff to enhance the business.

In this module participants will:
  • Develop a recruitment strategy
  • Learn to interview and select staff
  • Develop a training and development plan
  • Conduct a performance review and coaching sessions

 

Module 5 - Technology

This module addresses the integration of technology into the business.

During this module participants will:
  • Review technology options that relate to their business
  • Identify technology that will enhance business effectiveness and communication
  • Prepare implementation strategies for effective use of technology

 

Module 6 - Performance Management

This module will review some of the finalising aspects that underpin the completion of the business plan.

During this module participants will:
  • Identify areas of risk and develop risk management strategies
  • Identify and meet compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Finalise the business plan to incorporate financial, marketing, operations, HR and technology plans
  • Create a strategic Business Review Checklist

 

Celebration and Completion

It's time to celebrate how far you've come, to review your achievements and to create a vision for what's next. You'll receive a Certificate of Completion AND you'll be invited to join the exclusive MentorNet Alumni - a national network of MentorNet Graduates.
