MyProfile
CEO of Life Skills Training Pty.Ltd, a registered training organization (RTO) specialising in nationally recognised training courses related to ceremony including public speaking and small business.
Owner of Creative Life Celebrations, dedicated to providing ceremonies of substance and significance for any of life's special and memorable occasions.
MyExpertise
The last 10 years of my life have been dedicated to learning about, then training others in, understanding the benefits to health and well-being that are to be gained from meaningful ceremony. I also have trained with E.Jane Day, who is a highly recognised voice and speech coach and author, and I am now able to pass on her expertise in voice and public presentation. I have qualifications gained through Australia's premier private registered training organisation in ceremony and ritual. And loved it so much I became the CEO.
MyPassions
I love words and working with words to create emotional memory. I love speech and presentation and believe very strongly in the power of ceremony to bring about positive emotions, even the grieving process is positive. How we celebrate our passage through life's changing tapestry is a measure of us, as individuals and as a society. We all have memories of attending ceremonies that uplifted us, and ones that angered us because the individual was not honoured. My passion is to bring meaning through positive emotion to any celebration of life and to assist others to deliver with dignity and meaning.
MyInterests
Interests - life, the universe, everything. Okay, maybe not absolutely everything (thinking, thinking) okay, everything.
How I can help other members
I can help other members with ceremony and in particular, training in voice and presentation delivery, not necessarily related to ceremony but to any occasion where you are required to speak confidently in public. Our voice training course is recognised national training.
Why I am an ABN member
As a member of the 'getting-to- be-elder' generation, and a former Luddite with technology, I love the way ABN helps with all things informational. The assistance with mentoring, newsletters relevant to what's happening in the world of business, what's relevant to women, is useful, practical and easily accessed.
