My Eyes Were Opened to a Whole New Way of Working and Communicating
When you think of mentoring you don't often think about the use of technology. Since 2007 the Australian Businesswomen's Network has made quality mentoring available to women all over the country through its MentorNet mentoring program which was built entirely on social media.
This innovative program has allowed mentors and mentorees to participate from home, and to be well ahead of the social media curve, having combined education, networking and mentoring to produce amazing results (increased revenues, expanded networks and skills, improved confidence).
In this article Mentor Stuart Horrex and Mentoree Biance de Reus talk about their experiences within a mentoring relationship (through the MentoNet program) in this article featured in the Women in Business eNewsletter.
Here they describe their mentoring relationships and how the program impacted both their businesses.
They also comment on the use of social media within the MentorNet program and how it helped their experience of the program.
Here's the article.
